HATCH- JAJO'S COMING OUT PARTY

Over a year ago, Rebecca Jampol and Deana Haggag began brainstorming ideas for an art gallery. Now, after much hard work and determination, they are finally ready to unveil Jajo Gallery to the community.

Jajo is a contemporary art gallery committed to representing raw talent, as well as orchestrating a dialogue between emerging artists and their urban environment. Jajo is located in downtown Newark's emerging art scene. The directors of Jajo gallery are repeatedly in awe of the raw talent that goes unrepresented in the greater metropolitan area. Jajo is dedicated to finding, representing, and advancing the careers of these unearthed artists.

The directors of Jajo understand the importance of the arts in the shaping of society. In an effort to challenge the community and it's socially-structured opinions on art, Jajo is attempting to redefine the standards of the current contemporary gallery circuit located in Newark. Jajo is revolutionizing the arts district by exhibiting innovative, experimental, and avant-garde work. Jajo is bringing a far more provocative and edgy vocabulary to an already existing arts community in Newark.
Jajo will operate as a modular space. In addition to functioning as a fine arts gallery, Jajo will provide a space for education, performing arts, and music. Jajo will also offer studio spaces for artists.
